Tralee is a remarkable town that has much to offer the tourist that has come here for
some entertainment. The South west of Ireland is a very laid back place where the locals have time for a joke and a smile. The Rose of Tralee festival takes place annually every August and it attracts many thousands of visitors from around the world. The week long festival is a real celebration of the art of being Irish, and has great entertainment for all the family along with a host of activities.

Tralee acts as the main commercial centre of County Kerry. It has a population of 22,500 and is over three times the size of Killarney which is about 20 miles away and although Killarney is the main tourist centre where the amount of Tourists on the
streets will outnumber the locals, Tralee is more a functioning town, where you will get a taste of how a real Irish town works and one will get to meet many of the friendly locals that always have a warm welcome for the visitors.
